Dream About a Lost Hat and New Tasks

I'm gonna have a hard time recalling the full dream, but this is the essence. I have my green LA hat on. I'm waiting for a ship to go to a different part of the country. In a moment of rushing, I leave my hat behind. I leave my hat in a pool of water. And then I have to jump to a different ship. So I leave my hat back in a different ship in water. And I'm panicking and I like really, really panicking. A part of me wants to go find this new hat somewhere else or a part of me wants to rescue this hat. But I'm just wanting this hat.
Then all of a sudden, in this new ship that I'm on, where I don't have this hat with me anymore, I get assigned a task by one of the captains of the ship, and I realize that I have become an employee of the ship and I'm doing all these things. But in the back of my mind, I just want my hat back, but my hat is no more. I realize the longer I stay and work on the ship, the less chance of me getting my hat is. And then I even tried to ask to negotiate for a salary raise, and I can feel my dad trying to support me and negotiate a raise, but neither happens. No hat. I wake up. ^rwhi961105273
