Rite of Passage

A rite of passage is an initiation. A rite of passage is a way that indigenous societies would help a young boy or a young girl transition into a full-fledged adult member of the society. A rite of passage marks the transition from a boy to a man, a girl to a woman. My belief is that a rite of passage is the marking point of transition. And in our current society, where we don't have rites of passages, people feel depressed, without a purpose, lost, confused. And for us to feel connected to our own unique beingness, a rite of passage is something we have to bring back.
