How to Get Famous

If you want to become widely recognized and renowned for your knowledge and wisdom, you should be sure to include some key elements when presenting your theories to others. Follow these general guidelines when presenting your ideas:

  • Create a memorable slogan for your brand or for individual presentations. Notice how presidential candidates always have a short and sweet slogan they repeat at every speech. Slogans stick in the mind of the listener and make it so you occupy more of their mental space.
  • Create a recognizable symbol or use an item that condenses your knowledge into something the mind can easily remember. This could be a metaphor or analogy, a physical prop, a visual framework, or a vivid mental picture you paint in the listener’s mind. Again, this helps your ideas occupy more of someone’s mental space and increases the likelihood they’ll remember you and want to share your ideas with others.
  • Create an element of surprise in your presentations. You want to create an “aha” moment with every piece of content by offering a big insight or unique perspective that helps someone see the world or themselves in a brand new way.
  • Include stories about how you used the information (or how it could be used) to do something useful or important in the world. A truly “revolutionary” idea is one that can be used practically in the real world. Talk about how your ideas work and why they’re important for individuals or humanity as a whole.
  • Create a movement. Help the audience to identify with your cause or theory and get behind it with enthusiasm and passion. You can do this more effectively by creating a “label” with which the audience can identify. A good example of this is personality tests such as Myers-Briggs or the Enneagram. Most people strongly desire to belong to something, feel understood, and create a solid sense of identity. So give them something to hold on to.
