Intimacy
The mind will always want to get involved. After all, that’s what it knows to do, and that’s what it’s always done. It’s our protector.
But, when it comes to intimacy, you must cut off the head and get into the body, and get into the heart. The heart is the lover.
Where there’s love, the mind doesn’t have as big of a space to take up. It doesn’t need to think of protection as much.
If you ever truly felt through your heart, you’ll have noticed how expansive its range is. It has the power to literally vibrate your whole body and give it life.
But, we rarely ever let it.
Because again, most of us have trauma and most of us are looking out for threats, which the mind is really good at noticing and working through.
When it comes to intimate connections though, we have to learn to lead with the heart. We must if we want to shift from surface level one night stands to euphoric, spiritual communions. The latter requires fully surrendering to the presence of the divine connection.
Is there a possibility of being hurt? Or being rejected?
Hell yes.
And even through that, when we come from the heart center instead of the mind center, there’s a possibility of an expansion within ourselves. And intimacy with our innate selves, if you will.
You can’t lose, you see.
