Poem about Love
Is there love without hurt?
Can I love you and leave you better for having loved you?
Or is my love going to destroy you rendering you and I worse for having met each other
I want your heart to soften in the depth of mine. And I know it takes time for us to synchronize.
But have we the grace to fumble through the awkwardness of what it means to be in reverence to be each other instead of being with each other, while we figure out how to deepen ourselves for each other to drop our veils and land with a thud of relaxed heaviness into each other's arms.
Can you stay with me while I learn how to love without the hurt.
And can I trust that love is real And like yin and yang, the hurt and the growing pain of learning to love someone whole is worth it all.
